Downline Coffee Meeting

IMG_1399

Today we discussed lots of things about convention—we’re all getting hyped up about that and earning the next incentive trip, including getting bookings.

The girls enjoyed making fun projects—see below.

I finally got inspired to make one of the cute boxes that Spencer Willis demonstrated at convention years ago.  Someone posted the directions on her blog so I tried.  It was so much fun!

We used the Kaliedascope DSP so they are bright and cheery.

Watercolor Trio---love it!

I forget what this technique is called but you stamp the design several times on wet cardstock---in the same area.

Then you dry the paper and stamp one more time.  This time, the image is clear and precise making the water color behind it look great.

Then the inside:

This watercolor technique is done by spritzing watercolor paper with water, then stamping the design several times, then dry and stamp one time on top.  I love Julie’s version of this set!

Paper Crisis

Houston, we have a problem!  I know that I promised you that we’d have all the retiring cardstock available til the end of May!  Well, that was before Stampin’ Up! realized that there might be a crisis.  There has been a huge demand for some of the colors and unfortunately their paper mills/suppliers are busy creating all the new colors and may not be able to supply both.  So, I’m just telling you that if you are wanting to get some of your favorite colors that are going out, you’ll want to do that sooner rather than later!  As the Cardstock becomes unavailable, they will fill the orders with textured Cardstock until it’s gone.

I’m going to extend my special  for the next week:

Place a $50 online and choose 2 FREE packs of 8 1/2 X 11 cardstock for free (email me right away with those colors so I can get them ordered for you).  If you place a $70 order, you may choose 2 packs of 12 X12.

Your order can consist of anything, including the May special and the Clearance Rack items mentioned below.

Also, don’t forget to make sure you have ink refills for all your pads!

Retiring ColorsIf you need to review again the colors that are going out, click here.

Clearance Rack

Thought I’d fill you in on a few items in the clearance rack.  Can’t remember if they were all in there before but there is definitely one item I didn’t see before and that’s the Hodgepodge hardware!  What a price!

Click Here  then click Products, Shop Now, and Clearance Rack

Here are a few more items (Designer Series Papers) that you loved, that are still available:

I made this page for our cruise and I wanted to use some hardware but I didn’t care for silver on this vintage page so I mixed crystal effects with Soft Suede ink refill and painted it on the brads for the ‘vintage’ look.  Here’s a closer up view of the difference:

Caribbean Cruise

My life has been crazy this last week after coming home from the cruise—not getting to take my daily afternoon naps was traumatizing!  But I wanted to take a second to share some of our experience with all of you who helped us get there.  Thank you!

Joel and I had such a nice, relaxing time and got to share time with some wonderful people.cruise 139

Got a photo op with Shelli at the Stampin’ Share.  Great ideas, good food, good friends, what more can you ask for.

Always love getting to see Jerry Day and Luanne.  They are just so precious!

Got a chance to get together with everyone from our group after dinner on Formal Night:  Rick and Lori Staley, Ray and Connie and 3 of their kids, and then Joel and I.  No, it’s not a professional picture.  We just grabbed a passerby—Stampin’ Up! Demo of course.  I’m sorry, I cannot remember her name.

We had our make and take session from Midnight til 2 AM.  We were all bushed!  I met a new friend—Karrie Snider and sitting at our table is Scott—the head of finance.    We also got to tour the island of St Lucia with he and his wife and Chris and Pam Morgan.  It was such a nice time.
